The Maintenance Inspection Guidebook

CGI has developed a maintenance inspection guidebook to assist companies in the assessment of their performance maintenance programs. The guidebook is a useful tool to assist companies in determining whether their maintenance programs are being improved.

The guidebook provides companies with:

• a structured and systems view of the essential activities of an effective maintenance program
• a basis for preparing and organizing your questions/issues for inspections
• an initial set of general acceptance criteria
• the general approvement-based approach for your analysis of the information
• a structured way to clearly present your findings on improvement performance

The guidebook does not:

• provide specific or detailed acceptance criteria - this is left to you to develop based on your company's unique needs and experience
• describe how to perform an inspection or analyze the information needed to make your evaluation
